ScreenRecycler is a Mac application that lets you use a second computer, whether it's a Mac or PC, to extend your computer's screen.

The connection between the two computers is done with a VNC client over a local network. If the other computer is a Mac, ScreenRecycler includes the VNC client JollysFastVNC. Check the program's documentation to figure out which is the best option for Windows.

Launch ScreenRecycler's server and connect the VNC client. From there on, any window that you move beyond the edge of the first screen will appear on the second one. Use the settings to configure the position of the second screen in relation to the first and change its resolution.
